We take children from the age of 7 until they are 11. The majority of our children attend St Annes Infant School prior to coming to us. The Infant school has its own admission policy and so any enquiry about children younger than 7 should be directed to them on 0117 9031435 or school@stannesinfants.co.uk. Children who currently attend St Annes Infant School are guaranteed a place at the Academy when they move from year 2 to 3.
All other in-year admissions are managed by us. If you are interested in your child joining our school please contact the school office on 0117 9030480 or info@wla.clf.uk to request an admission form and book a tour.
Admissions authorities are required to consult on their admission arrangements whenever a change to the arrangements are proposed, or if no changes are proposed, every 7 years. As such, the Cabot Learning Federation is consulting on the admissions arrangements for Wicklea Academy, for students joining from September 2027.
The consultation period will run from 19 December 2025 to 31 January 2026 (minimum of 6 weeks)
Wicklea Academy is a junior academy. The academy is consulting as they are implementing a new admissions policy for students joining the school from September 2027.
